Wake up to the best of British!
British manufacturer Rowlett Rutland has been making toasters for over 65 years for the
catering market so knows a thing or too about creating the perfect piece of toast –
standards don’t get higher than at some of our best hotels.
Now we all have the chance to sample sublime crumpets and precision-browned
toast, courtesy of Rowlett launching two of its best collections onto the domestic

Premier has all the look and feel of a commercial
machine and is ideal if you’re looking for that
combination of perfect performance and industrial chic
in your kitchen. Available in polished stainless steel,
the range features a two-slice and a four-slice toaster,
a thick ‘n’ thin model (with bun mode) and a sandwich

What creates the real point of difference with Premier
though is the Brunch toaster – offering two ‘thin’ slots
and one ‘sandwich’. Versatility on the worktop!
Approximate retail prices for the Premier range – from £162 for
the two-slice toaster to £239 for the sandwich toaster.
Esprit is another versatile range and has a host of two- and
four-slice, thick ‘n’ thin and wide slot models, all with the
distinctive rounded ‘bump’ end. This range also has a Brunch
toaster, with either two slice/one sandwich or two slice/two
sandwich slots and a great model the Family Brunch
affectionately known as the Camel – because it carries
everything! This has four slots – two thin, one thick and one
sandwich – and a rotary switch allows for individual use or all
bread slots used simultaneously.
Esprit is available as a polished aluminium option or with a
touch of colour as cream, white, claret, navy & black end panels.

GET IN CREPE SHAPE WITH RUTLAND RANGE
Traditional French crepes, sweet and savoury pancakes, drop scones and even potato cakes can be made in seconds with a Rutland crepe machine from Rowlett Rutland. The company offers a range to suit all kinds of outlets, even mobile catering operations.
The sturdy S0100 one-plate electric model runs off a 13 amp plug and is controlled with a single thermostat dial. The compact unit is just 420 x 420 x 230mm. Doubling the output, the S0200 two-plate version runs off a double 13 amp socket, and takes up only 840 x 210 x 230mm of space. Both models are fitted with 400mm diameter cast iron griddle plates that maintain an even cooking temperature over the entire cooking surface. The welded and polished corners avoid dirt traps and make for easy cleaning.
Adding a touch of theatre, the entirely round Funfair model is a brightly coloured single-plate electric unit with the same features as the rest of the range but with the addition of a vibrant red and black base around the griddle top to attract attention. The 400 x 400 x 200mm Funfair unit is again controlled by a simple single dial.

BRITISH MANUFACTURER DOESN’T MINCE WORDS
Ideal for smaller foodservice outlets which nonetheless like to cook from scratch is the OMTS8 Mincer from Rowlett Rutland.
Suitable for mincing a range of meats for producing home cooked favourites such as lasagne, cottage or shepherds pie, burgers, meatballs or Bolognese, the design and speed of the cutters help keep the meat cold as it passes through the machine, with the minimum amount of meat retained after use. This allows the operator to change the type of meat without dismantling the mincer. A choice of two different diameter mincing plates varies the output from 70-80kg per hour.
The ingenious design of the British-built OMTS8 ensures ease of use and maintenance. The motor has a reverse switch which enables the user to free any trapped meat without dismantling the unit. The cutters and hopper are forged from 18/8 stainless steel and can be removed easily for cleaning and storage in the refrigerator. Featuring a compact footprint of just 180 x 335 x 335mm the mincer will fit happily into the smallest of food preparation areas.
