The Best British made Toaster in the World
At Rowlett Rutland we like nothing more than a challenge, but it’s safe to say that even we were thrown when we received a request to produce The King of all Toasters, a 34 slot version of our Classic Premier Stainless Steel Toaster, for a Bread Manufacturing Company.
Undaunted, the boffins in the Rowlett Rutland factory set about designing what would ultimately become the world’s longest, largest and biggest, fully functional toaster! And, even though we have been manufacturing toasters for 65 years, it took every bit of experience gained over that period to come up with a machine that was worthy of being called the “World’s Longest Toaster” - the title subsequently bestowed upon it by The Guinness Book Of Records.
What started out as a bit of fun ended up as an opportunity to demonstrate the very best of British design and engineering, both of which can still be found in our toasters to this day – albeit on a slightly smaller scale!
